Roehampton Drama students join People Show in online film

The 2019 Drama Theatre and Performance cohort worked with People Show on a short film called Last Day. The film is currently receiving great reviews at a number of international film festivals and has been made available to watch for a short time online (until tomorrow, Oct 23 2020).

Last Day focuses on HR Manager Sidney, who is dealing with psychological consequences of whether to serve the interests of the company he works for or its minimum-wage employees, played by 30 Roehampton Drama students.

Drama, Theatre and Performance students at Roehampton have had the final-year opportunity to work on a piece of professional performance with People Show, the pioneering UK performance company for the last ten years.

Formed in 1966, People Show are acknowledged as the UK’s longest running alternative theatre company. Over the past 50 years People Show have created performances in theatres, fields, telephone boxes, streets and even on water.
