The People Show is the UK’s longest-running experimental theatre company, with a rich legacy of performance dating back to 1966. They have played a fundamental role in the evolution of British performance art and collaborative theatre, creating performances in theatres, fields, telephone boxes, streets, and even on water.

Since 2011 our students have had the opportunity to collaborate with the People Show on a summer-term project in year three. It’s an exciting and enriching process, giving them the experience of working closely with a well-respected theatre company. This contract ensures five more years of collaboration.

To celebrate the occasion, People Show performed The Last Straw for University of Roehampton Drama students on campus at the Jubilee Theatre. People Show 130: The Last Straw first premiered in London in 2017 and has since been taken to the Edinburgh Fringe and toured around the UK.

Drama at Roehampton has a global reputation for research and teaching innovation and cultural engagement. We offer BAs in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies and Theatre Practices and Production, an exciting Master's programme; London's Theatre: Viewing, Making, Writing and cutting-edge PhD supervision.
