Professor Sunitha Narendran, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, has been appointed as a route panel member for the Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IATE).

There are 15 route panels at the IATE and each panel is responsible for overseeing apprenticeships and T level qualifications in their sector. Route panels works to identify potential skills gaps or overlaps and ensure that new apprenticeship standards and T Level qualifications work together to provide clear pathways for career progression.

Professor Narendran, a route panel member on the Business and Administration route said: “As a route panel member, I am motivated by the opportunity to work with the Institute to develop and maintain high-quality educational qualifications relevant to the needs of Business and Society.”

The IATE works to support employers in the development of apprenticeships by developing, approving, reviewing and revising apprenticeships and technical qualifications. The route panel members are outstanding representatives of the industries they serve, carefully selected to undertake this important role.
