Our courses at Westminster Kingsway College
Whichever specialism you choose, you will learn how to take a research-informed approach to key pedagogical skills, including lesson planning, resource design and assessment, as set out in the current Department for Education’s Teachers' Standards. You will be encouraged to think critically about aspects of the curriculum and pedagogy to help you to become confident, autonomous professionals.
PGCE Secondary: Business Studies with Economics specialism
You will be trained to teach pupils aged 14-19.
PGCE Secondary: History specialism
You will be trained to teach pupils aged 11-18.
PGCE Secondary: Mathematics specialism
You will be trained to teach pupils aged 11-16 with enhancements to teach pupils studying for A levels.

Our dedicated Roehampton subject specialist staff will teach the PGCE and you will have access to the outstanding teacher training resources in person or online to help you complete the course. Victoria Centre
The Victoria Centre at Westminster Kingsway College has excellent facilities including an onsite library, canteen, and dedicated teaching space for our PGCE programmes. Placements and Partnerships
You will undertake two blocks of school experience. The Foundation placement for 17 weeks in the autumn and first half of the spring term, then in the second half of the spring term and summer term, a 15 ½ week Development and Consolidation placement in a contrasting school. Fees and funding
