Life Sciences Nutritionist awarded a Fellowship of the Association of Nutrition

Dr Sue Reeves, Principal Lecturer and Registered Nutritionist, has been awarded a Fellowship of the Association of Nutrition.

Dr Reeves is the Head of Undergraduate Provision and Student Experience in the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Roehampton where she has also been programme convenor of the Nutrition and Health degree for the last fourteen years helping many students to become Registered Associate Nutritionists and work in various health related fields. 

Recently, Dr Reeves has been involved in a £300,000 study, an obesity prevention intervention for kindergarten aged children in Malaysia which is funded by the Medical Research Council. The project aims to improve energy balance related behaviours among pre-schoolers and establish healthy habits to help prevent obesity.

Dr Siobhan Strike, Deputy Head of the Department of Life Sciences said ‘This is a prestigious honour and we are so proud of the achievements of Dr Sue Reeves and all our academics in the Department. Our passionate lecturers are experienced and published researchers in their areas of teaching which directly supports our students learning to gain the latest knowledge and skills to help them in their chosen careers’.
