Roehampton ranked 6th Best UK University

Roehampton has been ranked 6th Best UK University in the 2021 StudentCrowd University Awards, the only awards based solely on student reviews.

This year a total of 19,323 university reviews were analysed for the awards, across 11 different categories that students rated out of 5 stars. This is an independent award and is based purely on real students' experiences which create the university rankings. 

Professor Jean-Noël Ezingeard, Vice-Chancellor of Roehampton, said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised with this award. We are very grateful to our students who have taken the time to share their experiences of studying at Roehampton to help other prospective students with their decision and to our staff for their dedication to our students.”

The 2020 UCAS New Applicant Survey highlighted that ‘online reviews by other students’ was the second most important resource for students when deciding on which university to apply to, with 78% of respondents stating that reviews were either ‘important’ or ‘extremely important’ to their university decision, second only to a university’s own website.

Given the impact of COVID-19 on the university experience in 2020/2021, StudentCrowd expanded their normal timeframe for awards. Winners were selected based on their average review score over the 24-month period from July 2019 to July 2021. The average review scores are across their university, course and accommodation review categories.
