Roehampton launches new IAPT High-Intensity Psychotherapeutic Counsellor training pilot

Launched by Health Education England (HEE) and the NHS, this exciting new training pilot offers a three-year salaried and funded training pathway to become a psychotherapeutic counsellor in the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services as a Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy practitioner.

The national training pilot will support the NHS to expand access to a range of quality, evidence-based psychological therapies, as part of a wider programme to offer these interventions to an additional 380,000 adults with common mental health problems, as set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.

It is an exclusive opportunity for one cohort of only 20 students to be trained in the practical application of psychotherapeutic counselling to deliver brief Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) in NHS IAPT services.
